TEDDY BEARS

Logan’s Bear - in loving memory of Logan Mitchelson

Our amazing Logan gained his angel wings in April 2024 and we miss him every day. His gentleness, cheeky nature and infectious smile touched everyone he met. Logan was the happiest of people and his greatest joys were family, friends, X-box and football.  Logan had the condition Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which is a muscle wasting condition, and became wheelchair bound at the age of 10, but he broke all boundaries to follow his dreams of being a top footballer. Logan's joined local team - Tayside Dynamos PFC. His skill and talent rapidly evolved and a very proud moment for Logan was his selection into the Scotland National Squad in its establishment in 2018. He quickly became one of Scotland’s top players, with his infamous opening goal at the Home Nations Tournament in 2022 and he was pivotal to their qualification for the Euros in 2025 at the Geneva Cup tournament.

Logan challenged himself to take his game to its next level, joining Newcastle team - Northern Thunder PFC. His most prestigious moment  was securing the team’s first ever cup win against the top English team - West Bromwich Albion, in the 2022 FA Disability Cup live on BT-Sport. Logan played as goalkeeper, and owned this title - making countless saves and helping bring it down to penalties. Logan saved the winning penalty and was awarded man of the match, with his sheer focus, determination and skill credited by the England National Coach. A successful try-out in 2023 then saw Logan join West Bromwich Albion, in Birmingham, where he trained and played alongside superstars of the PowerChair World each week, helping them to the top of the English Premiership table. Through the love of the players for Logan, his legacy lives on with Logan’s Bear as their mascot and the players wearing Logan arm bands in all matches ensuring that Logan can continue playing his game with them forever.

PowerChair Football wasn’t just Logan’s passion - it was his life. He was determined to be the best that he could be and set his mind to test himself against the best players in the World.

To further continue his legacy we have commissioned a new edition of our Logan’s Bear complete with kilt, scarf and football and will be dedicating one of our Tayfirth competitions in Logan’s memory. The funds raised will allow us to sponsor future PowerChair events in his name.

We thank you for your purchase of this Logan’s bear.
